The Five Pillars of Leadership (TM)

Program Purpose: To provide a rock solid foundation for sustainable leadership success.

This stimulating and thought provoking workshop helps new and emerging leaders establish a solid foundation upon which to build successful and fulfilling careers.  The program content, which transcends generations, provides the essential knowledge and tools for new leaders to focus their energy and fuel their drive for organizational impact and contribution.

The guiding principle behind the program is one of value based leadership: A leadership that comes from central and universal principles that transcend the inconstancy of fads and the latest book. It is a leadership that is much more a compass than a weathervane. It is a leadership that strives for the common good, is honest, reliable and trustworthy. It is a leadership that inspires and uplifts, is courageous, and makes choices based on integrity. And, it is a leadership that is focused on results.

Key Topics:

  •  Awareness -- opening our eyes to how established frames of reference, unconscious patterns, and natural biases limit our options and narrow our choices in problem solving and decision making.
  • Direction -- creating a deep and abiding sense of the values, vision, and goals needed to guide an integrity based leadership - the thinking, efforts, and decisions that will keep you congruent with what's important.
  • Competency -- understanding what it takes to be perceived as a competent leader; receiving comparative feedback from peers, subordinates and self on sixteen essential leadership skills; creating a stronger foundation from which to exercise powerful leadership practices.
  • Character -- examination and coming to a deeper understanding of the elements that create and mold character; how to build the trusting relationships required for high performance teamwork and leadership.
  • Expression -- exploring and developing what it takes to be experienced by others as a leader; the ability to establish a more influential presence; techniques for more truly effective communication.
